These tires pictured started off new on Saturday and did 4 laps of practice,4 laps of qual, then 14 laps of racing. Normal wear was seen from race 1. The tire in the picture was a LF on Sat and was swapped to a LR for the Sunday race. Tires felt great until mid race where it just hit a wall and the rear was all over the place. Post race both rear tires looked like below while the fronts had normal CMP abused wear. I’ve seen the graining occur at mid-ohio but this looks like a different type. Anyone seen graining like this?
