Thanks, Bruce!

I’m currently compiling a PDF of the site and will post it here once Acrobat’s done sucking down the pages. (So far, it’s at 180 pages.) The PDF will include all of the links as they appear and function within the site.

excellent!
I was trying to think of a way to get it all.
cheers,
bruce

580 pages and counting…

Unfortunately, the page order is backwards (the links work fine). I guess I’ll be fixing it over the weekend.

Well, Acrobat only pulled down 852 of the 1307 pages (and in a haphazard order, to boot), so I’ve written a script to pull each page, individually and in order and then run it through Acrobat.

Hopefully, it will be done by tomorrow. Rough estimate is that the PDF is going to run about 120mb, give or take.

Sweet. You are the man…

Uploading will have to wait 'till Wednesday – it’s too large to upload (106mb) and I don’t feel like incurring the wrath of BMW by hosting it on my personal server – I’ll be out of town for a few days.

for all you multi-BMW owners, the dealer repair manual for the e34’s including the M5 was recently posted here - about 1600 pages long:

On the page I linked to, scroll down and click on "Download for free with FileFactory Basic"

Free file hosts suck b/c you have to scroll and view a couple of pages, but it’s better than possibly incurring legal conversations with BMW by hosting it on my website.

Thanks Dan!

#17

Downloading as I type.
Awesome man, thanks a lot!!

I just reuploaded the pdf that Dan created so people can download it again:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/20fb0b/
It is a 106MB file so takes a few hours to download.
This expires after a period of time if people aren’t accessing it so get it while it’s hot …
cheers,
bruce

edit …
I forgot how confusing that site is …
Part way down the page it says "Download for free with FileFactory Basic"
Click on that and then it displays a confirmation picture string that you have to type in, and then you click
"Click here to begin your download"

they really don’t make that easy!

anyone care to reupload the pdf for johnny-come-lately?

thanks,

Mark
